LOCAL IMPACT MISSION
A Gospel-Advancing Week of Identity, Mission, and Community Impact
This week-long experience is designed to impact students' relationship with Christ and live out the Gospel in real time — not just hear about it. The goal is to turn everyday teenagers into bold, loving, Spirit-led disciples who know their identity in Christ, how to share their faith, and serve with the heart of Jesus.
This trip reflects the seven values of a gospel-advancing youth ministry:
• The Gospel is central
• Prayer is the engine
• The Bible is the map
• Relational discipleship is the strategy
• Leaders fully embrace and model it
• Every teen is equipped to engage
• We measure what matters
Students won’t just attend a mission week — they’ll be trained as missionaries in their own city.
Core Focus Areas
1. Identity
• Who you are in Christ and why it matters
• How to live “sent” every day, not just on a trip
• Hearing the Holy Spirit and walking in obedience
• Gospel confidence — not personality-based boldness, but Spirit-led courage
2. Community Impact
• Serving local ministries God has already placed in our city
• Partnering with churches and leaders to strengthen the body of Christ
• Evangelism training + real conversations with real people
• Youth rally focused on clear Gospel proclamation and prayer response
3. Adventure
• Built-in moments of faith, team bonding, and trust in God
• Example: Smith Rock — using creation as a classroom for dependence on the Lord • Final day adventure to celebrate what God has done and reinforce unity
Expectations
This week is more than a fun trip. It is an invitation to experience the deeper joy that comes from knowing who God is in you, walking in obedience, serving others, and partnering with God. Joy doesn't come from chasing fun — it comes from following Jesus into the work He is doing.
“Fun fades. Purpose fuels. We’re choosing the kind of joy that lasts longer than a highlight reel.”
Students are expected to come hungry for God, willing to serve, and ready to share the Gospel with boldness and compassion.
Pre-trip monthly meetings will include (Starting in January 2026):
• Prayer
• Gospel training
• Team building
• Evangelism practice
• Scripture memorization (Romans Road, 1 Corinthians 15, etc.)

Teaching Topics
• Identity in Christ
• How to share the Gospel clearly and confidently
• How to lead someone to Christ
• How to pray for the lost
• Listening for the Holy Spirit
• Living on mission after the trip
The goal is that every student leaves as:
• A disciple of Jesus
• A carrier of the Gospel
• A confident witness
• A prayer warrior for the lost
• A missionary to their school, team, or friend group
For this Mission Trip students will be committing to serving for the entire week. Students will start their day at 8:30 and end no later than 10pm.
Housing:
Option 1
For local students they can stay at their home, parents will pick up from the evening location at the designated time, no later than 10:00pm and drop off at the morning location by 8:30 in the morning.
Option 2
Students may choose to stay with a host family. This family would be background checked and be a member of Uplift, most likely a parent of one of the kids participating. That host family will then drop off and pick up for the kids staying at their home.
Our last night will be a camp out
